A busy week.

This weeks star is Piradee Talvanna. And this weeks layout is the result of some Piradee inspiration, some new washi tape and a lack of time to scrap … combine that with a dull, damp afternoon and even taking a photo was a challenge today.

It felt good to use up some scraps that had been hanging around for a while.

And it’s been a while since I used the rosette thingy so it was good to dust that off again. I’ve got to admit … since taking this photo I have gone back and added a few black pen details … I did refrain from adding other stuff though!

And also since I still felt like creating yesterday after making this I decided to continue using up some scraps and I’ve made another layout … based on a similar design … it might end up a little ‘fuller’ before I’m finished with it though!

In other news … it’s been a busy week at Craft House … with a huge 50% off sale starting last Friday. Lots of great bargains to be had … I’ve put together heaps of ‘value packs’ which consist of past crafting connection class kits, patterned paper, card and other such bits and pieces that go nicely together. Unfortunately they are ‘limited edition’ kits, most ‘one of a kind’ and therefore hard to put in the on-line store … but if you were keen, we can fix you up via email. It’s also a really great opportunity to stock up on cardstock … and we even have a few 12×12 paper racks available to make your scrap space really look professional!

Okay … that’s the sales pitch done. Other than that life goes on as normal … the girls played netball in icy rain on Saturday … not sure about the wisdom of playing in such conditions, they certainly didn’t enjoy it! It’s times like these that an indoor stadium would be useful.

Rebekah is out at band practise tonight … the youth group have started a band and Rebekah sings for them … I’ve not had the privilege of hearing them play yet … but she seems to enjoy it. She’s also busy planning her 13th birthday party … it seems One Direction is in the plan.

Alexander is flying up to Auckland tomorrow to spend a few days with his Daddy who went up for work very early this morning … not sure what they’ll get up to … Alexander would like to visit Rainbows End and jump off the sky tower … don’t think that’s going to happen somehow.

And I just found bugs in Jessi’s super long hair … actually, it was only one bug … but still … I’m hoping we’ll be able to solve that problem without having to cut her hair short. Sigh.

  1. You must have been really inspired to go and do a second layout. Go you. Ick to the little beastie in the hair. Hope you get him! 🙂

  2. cringe at one direction, but I guess when your a 13 year old girl they are awesome. You were on a scrappy role. Bumma about the bug, hope you don’t have to cut her hair. I love how Alexander has it adventure planned out, so cute. So when will you hear the band play and sing?

  3. Great take on Piradee’s style!
Sorry about the nits … I am actually glad to have boys because if I do have to cut their hair, it’s not a huge deal (mind you, it WOULD be a huge deal for Ethan since his is rather long and he doesn’t want it cut). Hope you manage to get rid of Jessi’s without too much trouble.
I’m sure Alexander will have fun in Auckland with Michael, no matter what they end up doing!

  4. Rainbows End would be fun, imagine watching your own child jump off the sky tower, the legs would be all jelly like 😉

Love your take on Piradee’s style.

  5. Great work – esp.using up some scraps:) haha, I used my one and only rosette flower on my page too! And I got it in a RAK – lucky it matched – actually I based my whole layout around it!!rofl!! Hope Alexander has fun with Dad in Auckland. The gloomy days do make it harder to get decent photos huh? Esp. The Kraft paper ones…
