The weekend that was …

We had this little guy come and play at our house yesterday.

Seriously cute … even with a snotty nose!

He had lots of play mates … who thought it kinda funny…  and kinda gross that he put everything in his mouth and left baby slobber in return.

We also looked after this big sister tiger …

who enjoyed watching Dora from this odd angle … and explained that she wasn’t a real tiger by pointing her rear end at me and saying “see no tail”

Rebekah was really helpful … bottle feeding went well.

And baby entertaining was fun … they pushed him around in a big box.

There was just one comment which came as we watched them get in the car to go home …  it left me a little concerned …  “Mummy we need a baby at our house!”

I think we like the sort that can be sent home after a couple of hours best!

I had a great day scrapping on Saturday … got a few pages done in my cousins wedding album … ate far too many m&m’s … and drank the bestest coffee in all of Newlands.

And now … I have a nasty cold with runny eyes and nose and I think it best that I have an early night!

  2. …Till it’s there favourite doll that’s covered in the baby slobber…then the novelty factor wears off quick LOL! Now you take care my friend, and lets hope you beat this cold super quick.

  3. awwww I hope you feel better soon Miss Beverley. Aww he is so cute and it sounds like he had the best babysitters……..I do like the ones you can give back. The bestest coffee’s you say in all of Newlands you say.

  4. Aaron decided a couple of weeks ago that he didn’t want to be the youngest anymore and we should do something about that!!! I don’t think so either. Hope you feeling better soon.

  5. Too cute 🙂 This morning Tyler said, “Wouldn’t it be great if we had a baby, Mum?” … WHAT?! That’s the first he has EVER made a comment like that. Well, sorry bud! It won’t be happening, LOL.

Sorry you aren’t feeling well, I hope you get better soon.

  6. Ah Bev, hope you are feeling better real soon – nothing worse than a summer cold. I think you are on the right track with bubbies – nice to visit and enjoy and then nice to go home – you can tell we are getting older. Glad to hear you had a good weekend and actually managed to get some scrapbooking done. I am looking forward to doing some this weekend when we have our monthly scrap.

  7. Cute baby!! The ones that can be given back are definitely the way to go.
Hope the cold is beginning to wane – who needs that now eh? And yeah, those Newlands coffees were pretty darn good. Wonder if I can find some bench space for a gadget…..

  8. the borrowing babies are sometimes the best kind 🙂
    rest up!

  9. Very interesting comment. Will be interesting to see if it is/was a one-off comment … interesting!!!

Sounds like fun though – but it’s good knowing that you can give them back – said nicely of course!!!
