The Good Things

The sky has looked like this a few times this week. I enjoyed looking up at this on Saturday while lying on a grassy bank listening to my kids playing happily at the Botanical Gardens playground.

These flowers I found on Saturday. I like the way they are all overgrown and there’s a daisy in there with them.

These cupcakes … just freshly made for Charlize to give out at kindy tomorrow. Not the nicest tasting ones as I tried an egg free recipe for the kid at kindy who is allergic to everything.

This canvas and another like it which Charlize and Jessi finished off today. They did the background a couple of weeks ago… using glimmermist with masks, stamping with silver paint and black ink and Stampin’ Up stamps. Then today they added the other bits …  the word ‘love’ is one that Jessi knows how to read so I thought it would be appropriate. This one is now wrapped up for Grandma and Charlize’s one was wrapped up and sent home for her Mum’s Christmas present.

These birds … also from a couple of weeks ago … have now made their bottle nests. I must have got messy birds because their nests turned out really messy compared to Linda’s .

And the mess left behind on my desk was kinda bad too!

I have a post on the Fiskars blog which shows more of what I created last week.

I received this award from Karen earlier this week. Thanks Karen.

It came with these rules:
1. The winner may put the logo on their blog.
2. Put a link to the person who sent you the award.
3. Nominate 5 blogs.
4. Provide links to their blogs.
5. Leave a message for your nominees.

So I’m passing it on to

Trace … I got your Christmas card today … thanks. :o)

Looking forward to lunch out with the girls this week and also a crop on Saturday … whoo hoot!

  1. If the kindy kids are like kids the world over, they’ll eat all that yummy pink icing and not the cake anyway ROFL. The bird in the nest is such a cool idea. Thanks for the award – glad the card arrived. And I didn’t know that glimmermist worked on canvas….our kids do a canvas for Mother’s day, so I’m going to have a play with this idea.

  2. wow what a list…. love the pics, esp the cupcake one.. and yes I am with trace… eat the icing leave the cake… they do it all the time…. as for the award – thanks will have to come back to it as not sure how to add it…. will get back to you

  3. great list, I love those flowers what gorgeous colours. You have been very creative, I had a wee giggle at the comment about the birds in NZ being a bit more messier. From what I can see that nest looks pretty darn cool…..the girls did great with those canvases.
