Celebrating the Good Things

On the list this week:

My morning walk. Today was the first time I managed to get up and out there since coming back from Australia. It was easy walking at 5am Aus time cause that’s like 8am our time … I generally struggle with getting up early on NZ time.

The crop on Friday. It’s nice to have other people to scrap with, and more people seem to be keen to start coming next year … might have to go back to fortnightly crops.

Friends … good ones that I’ve met through scrapping.

Sunday’s BBQ with the families from Alexander’s soccer team. It was nice to get together, eat good food, chat and sit in the sun and then … once our tummies were full, play a friendly game of soccer.

I got two layouts done over the weekend.

I’ve had the photos for this one cut and sitting around for ages … it was a NZ Dare that just never got finished before the deadline. A mix of all kinds of papers and bits there … fancy pants, basic grey and pink paislee.

And this one fits a challenge over at Heaven-Sent. It had to have 4 photos, acrylic paint, distressing, mono colours.

And some Australia Zoo photos.

  1. great list of good things there….. am loving the crops too…. esp the friday night ones…. also love the aussie zoo photos…. so many memories from my trip there….

  2. great list there. So neat to see you creating that first layout, the photo doesnt do real justice to the intricate detail that you did on that layout. Love the treasure hunter one, cute. Friday does seem to be a good night for the crops and it was good to see a lot of friendly and familiar and new faces there. Yippe on your walk.

  3. Haven’t been to Australia Zoo but just love your animal photos. From what Janine says about your layout can see theres a lot of work gone into it.

  4. Cool photos Beverley – love the summer one, such fresh colours! Hey just curious – did a birthday card and a few ‘treats’ from me arrive at your house? I sent it to arrive while you were in Oz.
